Sur la route depuis 19 mois ... 15.400 km à vélo couché

Où sommes-nous?

Buenos dias!
Nous sommes a Puno, sur les bords du lac Titicaca. Ces deux premieres semaines au Perou se sont bien passees mis a part un vol d'appareil photo a Arequipa. On a beau faire attention, c'est difficile d'etre vigilant 24/24. Les sites sont magnifiques et les gens tres gentils. Nous deplorons seulement l'insecurite, surement liee au fait que les gens sont tres pauvres... si seulement le gouvernement ne se mettait pas tous les sous des sites dans la poche!
Demain nous redescendons sur Arequipa, balade de quelques jours dans le canyon de Colca, deux fois plus profond que le Grand Canyon des USA. Ensuite, nous repartons sur Lima, le voyage est bientot fini. Pour ceux qui s'inquietaient, nous nous sommes tous tres bien acclimates a l'altitude, notre record: 4300m!!

La suite de la route: Perou (26/10-20/11), Chili, Argentine, et Ushuaia (fin janvier).

On the road for 19 months ... 15,400 km on recumbents

Where are we?

Buenos dias!
We are in Puno, on the banks of lake Titicaca. The first two weeks in Peru went well except for a robbed camera. Even though we are very careful, it is difficult to be vigilant 24/24. The sites are amazing and the people, very friendly. If only the country could be more safe. The insecurity is due to the fact that the people are very poor... probably due in turn to the fact that the government keeps all the money that we pay for the sites!
Tomorrow, we go down to Arequipa, walk a few days in the Colca Canyon, twice as deep as the Grand Canyon in the US. Next, we go back to Lima, the trip is almost finished.

What's next?  Peru (26/10-20/11), Chile, Argentina, and Ushuaia (end of January).
